Hello,
I had to reinstall AVG Free on this computer with Win7 Home and now I'm always getting this error at 50% of the setup:
0xC0070659: General Error (0x0659)

I've already:
- uninstalled the previous version correctly via control panel.
- run AVG Remover various times.
- tried the offline installer v1818

What else can I do?

P.s: I can't seem to be able to attach the log here

Thank you for the reply, but that didn't work.
I got the same error at the same spot.

Luckly, I decided to check the logs myself and found a weird problem with Software Restriction Policy on C:\Windows\Temp. Quite a weird thing on an Home version.. anyway, after fixing them from the registry, the installation worked without errors.

For future issues, could you please:
- allow users to attach logs immediately?
- implement a link to user's own posts directly from the site?

Thank you,
Paul
