I request you to run the installation by downloading offline installer file which is availabel in this website: https://www.avg.com/download.prd-gsr-free .
The offline installer is the one mentioned as 32/64 bit.
Please make sure that you download the exact bit version file of your operating system.

I followed the instruction on the chat here. I ran the clear.exe and the remove.exe and too the old avg program off my computer and THREE hours later, I am still stuck at the installing AVG. It use to eb stuck at 97% now it's stuck at 88%.
