Sorry to hear that the installation got failed with this error 0xE0010601. I appreciate all your efforts in trying to fix the issue. Have you tried offline installation to resolve the issue?

Hi,
I'm having trouble installing my paid version of AVG Ultimate, installation runs and chrome + Tune Up installed as it should, but then I get error-causing "0xE0010601: General error (0x0601)" and internet secutity will not be installed.
I have tried your other suggestions in other threads.
I have removed all other internet security programs from the computer and to remove all AVG with clean up and remover as well as shut down windows defender and "windows installer" in asset manager.
but still gets this error
have had the Ultimate in all my other computers without any problem this computer is just purchased so i can not understand what's the problem
