Hello Jacqueline,
We are sorry for the delay in response and inconvenience caused.
If the icon was removed from the Taskbar then you can click on the particular program icon and drag it towards the taskbar so that it will get added up.
The PC TuneUp will show suggestion to disable the background running programs inorder to increase the performance of your computer.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.
Nielson's program is listed. As I said none of my programs are sleeping, only Nielson's was and I clicked to 'awaken' it. On the right of the screen in the list it says Sleep for all and they are outlined in green. At the bottom left-hand side of the list it says no programs are sleeping and no programs are ignored which all programs have this 'ignore' link at the side of them. I take it to mean that all programs must be awake now. I did ask what happenes if you click 'ignore' what does it mean, what is it for? There is nothing that actually says, 'wake' on the page. At the top of the list is a link on the top right to 'put all programs to sleep.' I take it that's not activated.

None of my programs are sleeping. The only one that was, was Neilson's which AVG might have done, so I clicked to awake it. Where it says 'sleeping' they are all outlined in green so I take it this means none of them are sleeping? It says none are and that none are 'ignored.' What does the 'ignore' link mean? Isn't there a link in a panel that you just click on to 'Enable' a program? I've got the icon on my Task bar, but it still says 'Not available' in the list of programs at the side of Nielson's.
Hi,
I remembered about dragging the icon to the Task Bar and did it, but I wanted to know how to enable the software again as Nielson's might not be able to access it on my computer if they need to. They will ring me to let me know if they can't but might not have had to yet.
When I go to the Programmes, at the side of the Nielson icon it says 'not available in greyed out letters. It should be showing 'available etc' if it's enabled surely. I took it off the 'sleep' thinking that might enable it but it hasn't. As I said I can still bring the menu up on a right-click to Update my Profile and can go to the web site to retrieve my points, but I do think it needs to be enabled on my computer. Can you tell me how to do this?
Jackie.
I accidently 'disabled' a software program on my Task Bar on the right of my computer that I need. AVG brought a panel up to say they have suspended it, I think it was to reduce the power to speed my computer up. I did click at the bottom of the panel to say 'Stop reducing power' which would have meant that the program wouldn't have been disabled. I thought I was clicking on the one further up to say that I didn't want it disabling as it was greyed out so I thought nothing would happen but it shot over to 'disable' it when I clicked it.
I was wondering previously why the icon had disappeared and was trying to get it back, but this must have been why. I find I can still use the program, ie: left-click on the 'hidden icons' to bring up the short menu and I can still go to the web site to exchange points in this software for gifts etc. I want to know how to 'enable' the program again and put the icon back.
It brought the same panel up just now to ask me the same about Skype, saying it was going to do the same, only this time, I just clicked at the bottom to say, 'Stop reducing power' so it won't take it off. This is what I probably should have done with the other one. AVG has kept asking me if I want to remove some icons from my Task Bar to speed up my computer and I've always ignored it as I want them there. It seems that it is trying to force people to get rid of icons on their Task Bar for some reason.
Thank you for the information, Jackie.
Please open the AVG PC TuneUp dashboard and click on "SpeedUp PC" circle on it.
It will open another window where you can find "Disable background and startup program", please click on it.
You can find the list of startup and background programs running and also the programs that you already put to sleep.
Please scroll down to see the programs that were put to sleep.
Please awake all those programs and check whether the issue gets resolved.

If the program are put to sleep by AVG PC TuneUp then you can find the list of programs on it and you can wake them up by clicking on "Wake" option in it.
If the program is not listed then please try reinstalling the program which is missing because there should be some issues with that particular program.
