Do you mean that AVG free Antivirus program that is installed on your PC is asking for a password or is it from the some other source?

Attempted to load AVG free anti virus onto my desk workstation which currently operates off Windows Vista.Wheh I now sign on I enter password - screen comes up please wait - and then goes blank and goes no further,Can anybody help?
