I understand the inconvenience.
The update issue with AVG was a known one and it was fixed in our recent update.
We aren't sure about the reason for the issue with your emails accessed through Thunderbird.
Do you mean that, you still face the issue in accessing emails through Thunderbird even after reinstalling AVG Antivirus free?
May I know what happened when you use AVG PC TuneUp?
How did you confirm that, PC Tuneup features were reversed in their operation?
AVG Free version:
BEWARE. I believe, Hidden somewhere in AVG (please programmers note, and forgive my lack of proper word usage) a suspected unscrupulous movie site (load), has buried a 'virus' to PREVENT ALL AVG UPDATES no matter what I try. And it leaches onto my email program. I try to delete ALL the embedded program files that allow AVG to know if you've passed your free trial, but can not, of course, I think AVG loads an administrator key that only they have to delete these. THEN the 'virus' hacks my email (Tbird) to only let me use that program (after uninstall of AVG) IF I select a script that "overwrites" the CORRECT directional file name for all outgoing/incoming. In otherwords, it looks like all my emails will pass through their server instead. I suspect because THE only way to use Tbird again without redirect is to RE install AVG. If I could delete ALL AVG files and start over IT WOULD BE A BLESSING AVG FOLKS!!!
AS well: The PC tuneup was completely wacking out! I mean, many operational features were REVERSED in their operation. A clue?!
Any help or insight is greatly appreciated! I love AVG and all your features! Would love to be able to use you reliably! THANKS.
