Hello, John.
I certainly understand this must be a disruption. May I know if you are using a business edition or home edition of AVG product? If it is a business edition, I would request you to submit the query to our dedicated support team from this web page: https://support.avg.com/business_contact_form?l=en&retUrl=business .
We have a site running an Access program and has been running fine for months. This week, quite a few of the machines are experiencing hanging issues after they have the database open for about an hour.
We disabled AVG on the machine, program ran great then. Turned AVG back on, program continued to run great.
Restarted the PC, program ran poorly
Disabled the AVG, closed the database, and reopened the database, program ran great
This is on a domain and when the user logs in, we have a GPO push down the latest dB down to C:\Temp and that is where the user runs the program. We have that folder excluded from AVG scanning
What are we missing here? I was going to start looking at hardware but thought I better pose a question here to hopefully get some direction.

John, General topic info… "Business products" support… For assistance have a look @ this AVG webpage (https://support.avg.com/business_contact_form?l=en_US). Please be informed that this Community forum basically deals with 'home' version of AVG products. Furthermore the "Business products" area has now been removed from the 'Community topics' list @ the top LHS of this page. Finally please be informed that the support for "Business products" is not now available in this Community.
