Hi Jon,
We would like to investigate and then provide an answer.
Could you please provide the screenshot of message that appears from windows?
You can post the screenshot by clicking on 'Image' symbol from 'Answer' field.
We would like to know on which AVG program interface you are seeing message as "tracking attempts are blocked"?
I am getting this message from Windows , so cannot access (click on ) a link in an email , say, to complete a questionnaire. I can access all my own files and email and i./net working normally. Seems to have started after AVG upgrade and am getting frequent messages that 'tracking attempts are blocked' whereas before they were only occasional.

Please follow the below steps to temporarily disable AVG AntiVirus:
1. Right-click the 'AVG' system tray icon on your Windows taskbar, then in the menu that appears, click the green slider next to 'Protection is ON'.
2. Click on 'OK, Stop' to confirm that you want to disable all AVG protection.
Once the slider turns red (OFF), all AVG components are disabled. AVG protection will re-enable automatically the next time you reboot your PC.

thanks for your prompt help.
Thanks for replying: I have tried attach an image of the message given when I click on a link eg the one in the photo: though it happens with all the emails that I try to click on a link. It is larger than 1MB so I can't upload it. Anyway, the message reads ' Windows cannot access the specified device, file,or path. You may not have appropriate permissions to access'. I am a private user so no need for permission.
I can access all my files and i/net and emails are normal. Any ideas ? thanks.
How do I disable AVG:? I cannot use the link you have given me as it is blocked by the same message that is the original problem.
