Activating AVG Internet security on a Mac - "Invalid Code"

Hi Sarath

Thank you for your reply.

This is disappointing. My subscription renewal states only "3 computers". It does not specify Mac or PC.

If I do decide to switch to a multi-device subscription, do I get a refund on the unused portion of my current subscription? Or can I upgrade by paying the difference in cost between the two plans?

Hi

I have just got off the phone with Nat, at your UK Sales Support.

He denied outright that there is any such product as AVG Internet Security for the Mac OS, or a Multi-Device subscription that would include a Mac and a PC. He was quite adamant that this is the case. According to him, AVG Internet Security is only in development for the Mac, and is not currently offered for that OS. This appears to be completely contrary to the replies I have received here. He also suggested that the people who replied to me here are not representatives of AVG (!) but had no answer when I asked him how you had been able to access my account details.

His only solution to the query I have made is that I stick with the Internet Security subscription I already have for the PC, and the free Anti-Virus product which I have already downloaded on my Mac. This is what I will do, as I'm tired of this confusion now.

Hi

I have an AVG subscription (2 year subscription, 3 computers, valid until May 2021) which I have been running, with no problem, on a PC.

Whilst the PC is still in use in the house, I recently purchased an iMac. I successfully downloaded AVG onto it but neither my subscription number or validation code are recognised, so at the moment, on the Mac, I just have the cut-down 'free' version.

How do I activate this subscription on the second of the three computers it is (supposedly) valid for?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Martin

Hi Martin.

On checking your account, you have AVG Internet Security (3 computers), valid until June 12, 2021.

This subscription can be used only on Windows computers.

You can purchase AVG Internet Security Multi-device, which can be used on Mac, Android and Windows devices. To purchase it, you can either visit our AVG official website or get in touch with our sales team to purchase it.

Martin, usually personal computer (PC) refers to Windows.
The possible solution is that if you subscribe for AVG Internet Security - Multi-Device, we can calculate the left over validity on 1 computer license and add it to your multi-device subscription.
If you are okay with this, subscribe for multi-device subscription and inform us to proceed further.

Martin, could you let us know the number you dialed to reach our sales support in UK?
We do offer AVG Internet Security (Multi-device) which can cover up to 10 devices (Windows, Mac or Android). Visit the official AVG Internet Security product page on our website (https://www.avg.com/en-us/internet-security), scroll down to 'System requirements' section to see Mac devices are included.

To make sure you reach legitimate AVG customer care, please click this link to start a free online chat with our sales team. They can help you to buy a new AVG Internet Security (Multi-device) subscription, cancel the existing 3 computer license and add the remaining days on that license to new multi device subscription.
