Activation issue

When entering activation code, it tells me "Please connect to the Internet". I have repaired, uninstalled, and re-installed and am still getting the same message.
Sign in from your browser does not "Open AVG Internet Security"

Everything else on my computer connects to the Internet successfully - the AVG Internet Security does not.

A support person was able to connect to my computer and was able to verify the problem, but I have not heard back for 2 days now. I realize it may be an issue specific to my computer.

Is there an update on this issue?
