Activation messages, spam?

My subscription to AntiTrack recently auto renewed. But I keep receiving messages, purportedly from AVG, that I need to aviate it, that my auto-remewal was inactivated, etc. Today just for kicks I decided to click on a link in a new message about activation on how to do it, and it led me to information about activation on Windows, not Mac, which increased my suspiciouns. I then opened AVG and tried to activate it, entering the code I was sent. The code couldn't be confirmed, which may suggest that the program is already activated. The code from the email is the same one associated with my account. So what's going on? Should I just ignore all of these messages? AVG seems to be working fine. I've sent messages to customer support, and the rather oddly worded replied seem to indicate that nothing's wrong.
