I purchased my computer 2 weeks ago and have used it for 5-6 hours. Today a short time after connecting to the Internet with my AVG plug in which takes me to Yahoo instead of Chrome to my chagrin. I received an official looking notification that a particular virus had compromised my banking information on this computer. I am yet to do any banking here. It also locked my screen there was a phone number which I called and immediately the "technician" requested remote access to my laptop. I questioned his credentials and disconnected. I was able to run a scan, one threat was found, and restarted my computer. I'm asking if FastSupport has anything to do with Microsoft or AVG?
