Add file extensions as exceptions

AVG is dramatically slowing down SDL Trados (translations software I use professionally)
Their suggestion is to add a whole bunch of file extensions as exceptions to AVG.

The only problem is that AVG does not seem to allow that. I can browse to .exe files to exclude a program, but not the multitude of files it can open.

I need to exclude:
  • *.bpm
  • *.etw
  • *.iix
  • *.itd
  • *.iof
  • *.ix
  • *.kd
  • *.mdf
  • *.mtf
  • *.mwf
  • *.sdlftsettings
  • *.sdlfiletype
  • *.sdlppx
  • *.sdlprofile
  • *.sdlproj
  • *.sdlqasettings
  • *.sdlrpx
  • *.sdltb
  • *.ldb
  • *.sdltm
  • *.sdltm.batchedit
  • *.sdltm.filters
  • *.sdltm.resource
  • *.sdltm.journal
  • *.sdltpl
  • *.sdlxliff
  • *.stppk
  • *.strpk
  • *.tmw
  • *.tmx
  • *.ttp
  • *.ttx
  • *.wsxz
  • *.xdi
  • *.xdl
  • *.xdm
  • *.xdt
  • *.xdx
Where can I do that?

Please help as AVG is driving me insane.

Harmen

Yes, when I switch the protection off Trados works at it''s normal speed and is fast.
So, what is causing it?
