Adding tablet to my paid subscription

I followed the steps listed (from 2017) but while my account is showing, I still only have the free subscription on the tablet:

1. Open Google play store app on your device.
2. Search for AVG AntiVirus.
3. Locate and install the free version of the app.
4. Now open the installed app.
5. Tap on drawer (3 lines) on top-left of the app.
6. Select AVG Account.
7. Enter your My Account email address and password.
The paid app should get installed automatically.
