I have been experiencing the same symptoms since upgrading.
Uninstalling, re-installing, fresh database, install on a different computer - nothing fixes it.
Support has been of no help. Been fighting this for weeks and support takes days to respond, asking questions that answers were provided when problem was reported.
It has been a continuous loop of non-answers.
Yes I have seen the repetitous posts from AVG & Avast gurus that repeat the same thing. Contact sink hole that is business support.
Also hoping someone might have an answer.

I am having it happen at multiple locations with 2018 Admin Consoles / AVG Servers. The Admin Console will freeze, the title bar says "not responding" and an avg pop up will appear saying "Server Busy". The Admin Server Monitor is showing high work load- 25%. One location has 30 stations and 8 servers using Avg 2018. Another location only has 5, win10 stations.
I cannot even use the Admin Console, I reboot and can get in for a couple minutes. I tried to restart the Admin Server and the same thing happened. I tried uninstalling Admin Console, deleting the firebird database and installing fresh, it did not fix. I tried moving Admin Console to another computer and it did not fix.
*** At the location with the 5 station computers, I disconnected 1 computer and the Admin Console quit freezing.
At the location with the 30 stations and 8 servers, it did not start to happen until I upgraded the servers from Avg2016 to 2018.
This deadline upgrade from avg 2016 to 2018 has been a nightmare!
3 days later and still nothing form support. Have uploaded logs and database. Is this a widespread bug or just my issue?? can someone respond back and let me know the status???

Since upgrading to latest version, I am having issues connecting the the server. It will hang or freeze, give an error saying server is busy. Sometimes wont connect at all and say can't find server. These issues were not present in the earlier version.

You Business support is slow… I have to constatly repeat the issue in detail over and over. I receive more help from actual users, which is why Im posting here. The last 3 issues I've had, I was told the same thing… Re-install. Which in my very first post I clearly stated how many times I had done that. This was a previous issue that I ended up resolving myself. I will contact support again, but I will continue to post here for other users.

How patient do you expect me to be? The only reply back Ive recievd… " We think youhave version 2013 installed somewhere…" HOW IS THIS SUPPORT??? it is now 6/26…two weeks later. So I guess Im supposed to touch 130+ machines that were running fine before this version update, just to see if version 2013 is still installed along with the newer version? How about FIXING THE CONSOLE SO THIS DOESNT HAPPEN? One soultion is to move on to another AV with reliable and responsive support.

The problem appears to be resolved after much work.
I ran the AVG_Remover and AVG_Clear utilities on every workstation (126) on the network. Then re-installed AVG on every workstation.
So far, the admin console freezing and server busy messages have not returned.
