Adobe Reader DC conflict with AVG Software Protection

Marti,
We apologize for the difficulties. In this case, we request you to add that file to the exception list as suggested here: http://avgclick.me/AddException and check for the issue. Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG. Thank you!

Have AVG Free.  And when I turn on Software Protection I can no longer open PDF files.  It shows a Fatal Error due to DDE.  I browsed the web and there was a suggestion on one forum that virus app protection might be the cause.  Disabled Software Protection, rebooted, and now PDF files open.  Is there a fix so I can again Enable Software Protection.  Thanks.

I did create an exception for Adobe Reader DC - "";"<any content>C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe";"Application or File";"Resident Shield, Software Analyzer, Scan";"12/18/2016, 2:52 PM"

It appeared to work.  But when I tried to open a PDF file today, it didn't open.  I went back and saw that the exception I created was no longer in the list.  So, I created it again today and it didn't work.  (I did reboot just to be sure–and it still didn't work.)  Disabled Software protection again and now PDF files open.  Need a better fix.
