I'm sorry to hear that you're receiving AVG promotional pop ups. Many of our users find these offers useful. We handpick them from our own products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience. Please check if you have installed AVG Secure VPN on your computer (open control panel > programs and features), if yes then please uninstall it. The frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off (please open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > general > Pop ups > manage your pop ups). Also, you can check the Silent mode box in general settings to turned off all the promotional pop ups.

Hello AVG and everyone else,
I am struggling with the daily sales messages from the AVG software.
They appear as a popup from the system tray and require me to stop what I am doing to clear them.
I have spent several hours on support calls and apparently it shouldn't be happening.
I have not downloaded any of the trail versions.
I have turned off any prompts with the AVG products, so now it will apparently not even tell me if I have a virus, but it will tell me 'people can see what I am doing' to entice me to buy the VPN service.
If anyone knows how to kick this problem I would really appreciate it. My renewal is in 4 weeks, I have been with AVG for 5 years. This is my last ditch attempt to fix this before going elsewhere.

The other pop-ups are useful, I want to know the useful stuff. Just don't want to be prompted to buy your VPN 2-3 times a week.
