After a new install of AVG on a new computer, the program will not open or run, neither from the desktop icon, nor from the AVG programs directory. AVG diagnostics also will not run. I do get a message saying to run a scan. What next?

Is there error message if it doesn't open? Please describe it in more details.

Actually, the problem resolved itself, I suspect because I rebooted the computer again.  Sorry, I should have tried that before I went to the internet for help.  Thanks anyway.  Kevin
