Can't connect to ethernet or wireless
Troubleshooting message as above.
Getting a bit confused from loss of sleep but it happened after an update.
Everyone else can connect to internet.
Have tried all the following in various orders.:
Reboot everything many, many times - laptop, modem, router
Changing ethernet cable, ethernet plug-in point to modem as well as to router as well as sockets in each, location (for wireless), using mobile phone hotspot as wireless source
Reset network adaptors - enable / disable - ethernet, wireless, and both at the same time
Used AVG remover then tried re-installing from flash drive.
Zen installs but says it has problem with installing avgui.exe or something like that.
Then it says to install it, it needs an internet connection.
Any ideas anyone???!!
To everyone having an issue with ethernet or network connections after an update:
Go to network connections > right click properties > uncheck AVG network filter driver
This will avoid hours of the frustration we had trying to find out how to fix the issue. I only saw it by chance. Good luck!
Avril, In future please refrain from carrying out multiple topic postings on the same subject! You won't obtain an answer to your query any faster!. Also please try to keep the whole conversation in one question/thread to speed up any resolution. Please see your other posting (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DlILAA0).

I hope I haven't posted a reply to you before this one. If so, I am really sorry. I'm not sure how I posted more than once, and i don't know which topics or categories I posted the questions in. I thought I was only posting one question, so I listed what I'd tried so they didn't get suggested to me. It has been a really fruitless 24+ hours, but I'll have a go at the suggestion in the other post.
OK Avril, No probs… Actually both your postings were in the same Community 'AVG Protection' area. If you reply again please post in the other topic (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DlILAA0).
