After update in June 10, 2020, all Office 365 has been disabled

Hi Maria,

it seems that AVG has problems with a path change in the Tune Up "autoreactivator.exe".

To fix the problem go to your Tune Up Application and activate all sleeping programs and set them back to sleep mode after that. This creates new entries for the reactivator in the registry (this step is not needed for the solution, but make things clearer).

Now go into the registry to delete the old keys in:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options<the name of your programm that do not open>

You should have two registry keys there for each program. Take a look at the Debugger String entry.

Example:
Key 1: "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\TuneUp\autoreactivator.exe"
Key 2: "C:\Program Files\AVG\TuneUp\autoreactivator.exe"

You can delete the complete Key with Program Files (x86) in the DebuggerString (the old path of the autoreactivator.exe). After that everything should work like expected.

Hi Maria,

I have responded to your original post.

Please keep up the conversation in it for further clarifications.

Hi Boris,
seems that avast has changed the installation Path to the 64-Bit Installation Path and forgot to change the path in the registry for the sleep functionality. The updated version saves new Entries with the 64-Bit Path (you could see that in step 1 of the solution).

The old value is not needed anymore (because you have no installation files in the x32 Path anymore).
But that is just my opinion

I found an update notice on the screen about Avg newest update etc. I tried opening Outlook and got this.

Windows cannot  find “C:\Program Files (x86) Microsoft Office\root\Office16\Outlook.exe” and it’s happens with all Office programs. Help!!

Markus Schmitt's suggestion worked just fine! Thank you, Markus!
I have many programs in a "sleep" mode, but only Adobe was affected. Also my CAD program was affected, which was not in a sleep mode. Deleting the registry Debugger key for both these programs made them work again.
Now a question to Avast: is it safe to continue using AVG TuneUp with the modified registry? Will the expected fix work with the modified registry without creating unexpected problems?
Thanks,

That worked, thank you.

Please, let us know when a fix is available.  In the meantime, I am not putting anything to sleep.

Maria
