After update to 17.4.xx website block issue

I've completed all of those steps and still am having the issue of AVG believing a .php file is a threat.

I guess it's time to switch to another Antivirus that does not have this issue as it seems you people have no idea what the issue is.

Hi J,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the Update. Please attach us the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the detection message.
Thank you!

Still having the same issues and did all the steps you suggested. I guess it is time to get a new antvirus program? I even uninstalled AVG and reinstalled it and it still flags the .php login script as malicious.

After AVG updated itself to 17.4.xxx it now blocks a forum I frequent as it detects a "Malicious download" but nothing is being downloaded. It is just a regular PHP script. The site works perfectly fine without AVG and works on every computer I try it on even one without the updated AVG. I've added it to the AVG exception list and still have the issue.

How do I get around this.

If I can't I will just find another antivirus.

Hello J Boz,
I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issue with AVG detection pop up. In this case, I request you to add chrome.exe (C:/program files(86)/Google/Application/Chrome.exe) to AVG exception list (open AVG program > menu > settings > general > exception). Also I request you to submit a sample (https://secure.avg.com/submit-sample) for this false detection, it will reach to our concern team and they will analyze the issue.
Best regards,
Alok.
