Caroline,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. Many of our users find these offers useful: they rely on them to upgrade to our higher levels of protection. By doing so, they help fund your free version of the protection.
We also handpick offers from our other products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience. If you have suggestions on how these offers might be more relevant to you or less intrusive, please let us know. We are always working on improving your experience with AVG.
Also the frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app. See the steps in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-contact-support-through-the-Mobile-Contact-Form for details how to change it.
Thank you for understanding. If you have any specific feedback to share with us, please share it on our product feedback page http://avgclick.me/AVGfeedback .
I'm getting bombarded with AVG harassment "get longer battery life" popups whenever I use my laptop unplugged and can't get rid of them. I've hidden the Windows battery icon but the popup is coming from the AVG icon. When I click on it, it tries to sell me AVG Pro, and there's nowhere under settings to disable it. I'm using AVG Zen free version. Can anyone help? Thanks
For anyone still having this notification issue (like I just was), you need to open PC Tuneup and go to settings, then click on the Notifications catagory on the left, then at the very bottom under 'Other Functions' you can turn off the notifications.
I don't understand why I was getting the pop-up every 30 seconds - something must be wrong with the coding.
I was annoyed that I couldn't turn it off in the AVG web protection program, and it was only when I found this post that I realised that it was a PC Tuneup setting instead.
Hello Caroline,
We regret for the inconvenience caused.
Could you please let us know if the trial version of AVG PC Tune Up in your computer is expired?
If it expired, you can uninstall it by reviewing this link http://avgclick.me/uninstallAVGPCTuneUp
Please let us know if you receive the pop-ups even after uninstalling AVG PC Tune Up.
Thank you.
Thank you for yet more useless non-help. The link you have sent me requires me to download special software just to send you a screenshot. No thanks. You have my email address, why not contact me that way?
Nope sorry Alan Binch still don't have a clue what you mean and I haven't deliberately posted multiple threads. I've tried to follow your instructions under my settings but can't access what you're describing - I can only unsubscribe from email notifications. But THANK YOU Sreedevi Padmakumar you have solved the problem.
