Alarm clock xtreme not working in silent mode (no interruptions)

I've just upgraded my device to Android 5.1 and now the alarm doors not work in silent mode (ie no interruptions). This did work on 5.0. I've checked that the setting in the app is enabled (I turned off and on again just in case). Does anyone know why this isn't working?
