Hi Clive,
For help on your issue please try uninstall it from Ace and than install same version as you did for S3 mini.

I've been using Alarm Clock Xtreme on my Galaxy 2 for a couple of years and love it.  I've not really updated it as the phone doesn't have much memory.  I just got a new work phone - Galaxy S3 mini - and put the app on there and it's really good - even better than on my own phone.  So I decided to update it on my personal phone but the new update sucks.  How come there's a difference?  Is the latest update very new?  The S3 is running v 3.6.11 and the Ace 2 is running 4.0.0.1 and is a lot larger in size but not as good.
