All of a sudden I can't get to any web-sites by using any links tha are sent to me. I just get a blank page with a buch of crazy numberes up in the search box. Can you help me?

Norm, To check if it's actually AVG causing the issue try disabling (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-disable-AVG). If so, Try disabling individual components to find the culprit (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-disable-individual-AVG-components).
