Thank you for your patience, Amy.
I had a check with our senior team and could confirm that there is some ongoing issue with the latest version of Firefox extensions. This is preventing you from accessing websites in the browser. You can have a look into this page (https://twitter.com/mozamo/status/1124484255159971840?s=09) for more clartifications.

Thank you, and my apologies for a slow reply. The version of AVG Antivirus is 18.7 (716683d1b019). I am running this on a MacBook Pro with OS High Sierra 10.13.6. I have not had this problem before and it only started when I refreshed Firefox.
Thanks,
Amy
Thank you for your help. I also use Chrome as a back up browser and the issue is not happening there.

Hello,
I am running the Free AVG AntiVirus software on a MacBook Pro. Today I refreshed Firefox and now am unable to load any sites because every time I get a message saying 'Warning Potential Security Risk Ahead'. I know the clash is with AVG because if I turn off the web shield on AVG everything is fine with browsing.
Any advice you can give to solve this problem is most appreciated,
Amy
Thank you for providing us the information, Amy.
This isn't the usual behavior as the websites works fine in Chrome.
Would you be so kind to let us know the version of your MAC & AVG Antivirus installed?
Thank you for your patience, Amy.
