All sites blocked on Firefox

Same issue for me. I was previously using Avast and this issue started, and switched to AVG and have since found that it uses the same virus engine and now is the same company. Now I have the same issue with the latest AVG and the latest Firefox. Was able to workaround by unchecking the "Enable HTTPS scanning"

Hello John,
We will look into it. Please share the screenshot of error message you received and the version of AVG you have installed.

Hi Jack,

This isn't the expected behavior.
We would like to analyze the logs and identify the root cause of the issue.
To do this, we request you to create your own post on this commmunity.

Thank you.

Web shield suddenly started blocking ever site on Firefox (Chrome works fine). Getting error SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER. Only way I can access sites is by disabling Web shield. I saw a couple fixes but they were for Macs. Is there a fix for Windows 10?

That didn't work. I did try disabling Web shield and I was able to access websites again but that kind of defeats the purpose of having protection.

Thank you for the screenshot.

Open AVG AntiVirus free installed on your computer, click on "Menu->Settings->Components->Web Shield->Customize".

Uncheck the option "Enable HTTPS scanning" and check if you are able to access web pages from Mozilla Firefox.

Thank you for the information, John.

As we confirmed this issue is caused by AVG, we need to collect error logs to further analysis this issue.

I have sent you an email, please follow the steps from the email and send us the log files.

Share the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of your Firefox web-page with this option (Enable HTTPS scanning) checked and unchecked to escalate further.

The first time I unchecked the "Enable HTTPS scanning" I restarted Firefox and it didn't work.
I tried it again but this time I restarted the whole comuter and it worked. So if anyone else has this issue they need to uncheck "Enable HTTPS scanning" then restart the computer.

Thank for the help.
