Unfortunately, In the 2017 version it is not possible to allow or block an application using AVG Firewall.
We are working on this to add the feature as soon as possible.
The option available on AVG Firewall 2017 version is to add the Packet rules to allow or block internet access for a paritcular ip address.

Can you please provide me a link to download AVG 2016? I can't work with this new layout, where you apparently thought it was smart to remove all features, and not only that, you also get these fantastic advertisements that you only can disable by disabling the whole notification system! What were you thinking about when you made this alpha version of 2017?
I don't see this "arrow mark" - would really like to stop AVG blocking Outlook so I can access my emails…

I cant find the option to enable and disable applications in the firewall of the newest version of AVG 2017
I now that there is a option just like the 2016 version (link below), but I cant find it!

I am sorry, AVG 2017 is the only version we recommend to install for better protection. We would like to inform you that on AVG 2017 the option for allowing and blocking applications is available.
Please open the AVG user interface, click on "Menu–>Settings–>Components"
To the right scroll down for Firewall and click on the arrow mark that is on the right side.
In the drop down you can find the option as "Application rules"
From there you can choose the application and allow or block the internet connection for that application.
