I have been running AVG free for awhile now, but now I keep getting messages stating, your trial membership has expired, BUY NOW! Am I still being protected even if I don't buy? I cannot afford high prices at this time!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Our free version of AVG program shouldn't show up as trial expired. If it shows as trial expired then it means that the trial version got installed from the popup that you received from AVG.
Usually you will receive campaign popups to try the trial version of AVG internet security, so if you click on it and proceed with the installation you will get the trial installed.
If you wish to continue using the free version then it is recommended to remove the trial version & install free version.
1) To download the AVG remover tool please click on this link:
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
