Hello Robert,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We understand that Analyze on disk manager is not making any changes for you and still being asked to perform analysis.
We are really sorry to know this. We'll certainly check and help you out.
We also see that you wish to access the Optimize and defrag featrure, we would like to inform that this is inbuilt feature of Disk Manager which gets performed when you select Analyze.
If there is no issues currently you will not get any option to fix.
Could you please share us where you see the 1,000 fragmented files?
It may also help us to diagnose the issue you are experiencing if you can attach a screenshot of the problem. If you are not sure how to make a screenshot on your device, please find instructions for a variety of devices here: | AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlname=avg-create-screenshot)
As you have mentioned that Analyze, does not perform when clicked, we suggest you to check if you have updated AVG Tuneup to latest version and try the repair feature and check again:
To update: Manually update virus definitions

"Analyze" on AVG Tuneup's Disk Manager doesn't seem to do anything
And yet Disk Manager says my hard drive "Requires analysis". And how do I access "Optimize and defrag"? There's no options for that listed, although when I click "See details" it says that the current fragmentation status is OK (even though there's > 1,000 fragmented files–probably a relatively small number). Is there a problem with being able to use the Analysis and Defragmentation features like mentioned in the FAQs section, or does AVG Tuneup think that those features aren't needed given my disk's current status?
