Anti virus componant says its not installed in AVG Inet Sec 2015

NO you are NOT the only one. TWICE this month I have gotten update that have screwed up the program and repair/reinstall doen not work. You need to use a proper uninstaller.

After the update it says:
Computer AV: Not installed - Grey
Web: Not protected - Red with exclamation mark
Identity: Not Installed - Grey
Email: PROTECTED - Green
Firewall: Not installed - Grey

Then I have to uninstall, reinstall, and spend an hour in the advanced settings menu setting everything up again.

Wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to export your settings before uninstalling but nope, no export option to be found anywhere.

This has happened 2x this month and the month just stared. Well off I go to waste another hour  uninstalling and reininsatlling and fiddling with advanbced settings. This is f*****g bullshit.

You are most welcome, Derek. Please contact us back should you need any further assistance. Thank you.

After a recent update to my AVG Internet Security 2015 suite, my main menu dashboad had the antivirus componant grayed out and the message "not installed" on the antivirius componant icon. It was working fine until the update and my license is valid until April 2016. The scheduled and manual AV scans are still working but Im afraid the realtime componant may not be working. I tried to reinstall the package fully after downloading it again via my online account but the repair option doesnt have the antivirus componat in the options to fix as part of the "Reinstall/Repair" options. I contacted support who wanted to charge $20 to "expertly reinstall" the product suite, I declined their offer as its the update that caused the problem so they should fix it free of charge, they then agreed to reinstall for free, when I agreed they sent me a link to a NON AVG website URL that wanted to download an .exe file to "allow remore control" of my system, now whether this is genuine or not, two things Im supect of is an unknown URL and a download exe so again I declined, so Im left with a broken AVG suite until the matter is resolved some other way. Im not sure if support has been moved externally, but many years ago when I had problems AVG sent me a mail directly to my registered account and gave instructions on how to fix any problem I had and it always worked. I suppose what I want to know here is 1. did anyone else get this problem with AVG internet security 2015 and how did they fix it and 2. how do you feel about the new support as described above, Thanks Derek

Thanks Avinash, I will do so asap. Rgds D
