Anti-virus program conflict

Thank you.

But your answer is irrelevant.

(1) Your answer does not address the matter of how to create a global exception.

(2) Your answer references "article" that is irrelevant, because I installed AVG before I installed Ad-Aware.

Still, thank you for trying.

Hello J.r. Have you followed the instructions mentioned in this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-exclude-file-folder-or-website-from-AVG-scanning to exclude a file from AVG scanning?

Often, AVG treats Ad-Aware functions, actions, downloads, and files as if they were viruses.

Sometimes (before I can stop AVG from doing so), AVG "secures" an Ad-Aware event (blocks it or destroys it or puts it in virus vault). Other times, I can catch AVG's conduct timely and force AVG to allow the Ad-Aware event that AVG calls a "threat."

Ad-Aware is not a virus, but a very competent anti-virus program that protects against some malware that AVG does not detect.

I have tried to copy Ad-Aware files or actions that AVG has blocked and paste them into an exception bar after using the "add exception" option. But always AVG says that the exception is not valid for one reason or another.

How can I create, in AVG, a global exception for Ad-Aware, Ad-Aware actions, Ad-Aware programs, Ad-Aware downloads, or other Ad-Aware events — so that AVG will not react to anything Ad-Aware is or does?

J. R., Have a look @ this official standard AVG article (http://avgclick.me/prepareforAVGinstall).
