We'll work together to resolve this issue. May I know how did you added the file to the exception list? In which AVG component did you added the exception?
Try to add the file in the general exception (Open AVG Internet Security > Menu > Settings > General > exception > add file path ) and try to scan again.
Also provide us the file path to check and assist you further.

Even though I entered a file path into the exception list, every time I run a full scan it still scans the file I entered as an exception. Any idea why this is?
