We kindly request you to please collect and send us the log files to analyze the root cause and resolve your issue.
To collect mac AVG log files:
Click Finder icon in DOCK.
Select “GO” option from the menu bar and select “Library” option from dropdown list.
After getting into Library location, we should be able to see the logs.
System logs: /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
User logs: ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
AVG System logs: /Library/Logs/com.avg.Antivirus
AVG User logs: ~/Library/Logs/com.avg.Antivirus
Alternative option:
Go to “Go > Go to Folder…” (Shift+cmd+G) option.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do I need to send the files contained in these folders to you via email? And if yes do you need all of the contained files? I assume just the ones concerning AVG…

The free mac version of AVG anti virus that I have will not complete a full scan, at 60% the program just exits and will not complete, how can I fix this? I have already tried reinstalling the software.
