Antispam button in outlook 2016 missing after update yesterday

Hello Dean,

AVG icon on Outlook has been stopped but it doesn't impact the functionality of AntiSpam feature.

Hi Ken

I concurr. AVG is not stopping the spam getting through. In fact, I am having to delet emails all day and am backward and forward to the Blacklist inserting email domains all the time. If the sensitivity is set too  high my normal mail are been "Junked" . This is not how it should work AVG !!
I was told by their online technician that the AVG program will automatically know what is Spam and block it but this has not been the case.
AVG please re-instate the buttons with immediate effect .

Regards
Dean

Hi

My AVG updated yesterday and i have now lost the Antispan buttons in the Outlook 2016 ribbon
Can anyone help how to get it back

Hi Dean,

We have escalated the case of Ken to our senior team and they have found the same situation with AVG Anti-spam not blacklisting the emails.
They are considering this as a possible bug and working on it.
After updating to the latest version of AVG Internet Security, the AVG Outlook add-in will not work or appear.
The latest version itself has AVG Anti-spam feature, which will automatically filter the spam emails or filter the ones that are added to "blacklist".
Upon checking your chat conversation, we could see that you aren't happy with the removal of AVG Outlook add-in.
If you would like to share a feedback regarding this, open AVG Internet Security program interface. Click on "Menu–>About–>Submit Feedback".

Hello Dean,

Ken, both the statements provided earlier are correct.
The AVG Anti-spam feature will mark the spam emails in general and it should filter the incoming email coming from the domain which you added to its blacklist.
Since this doesn't happen, our senior team is analyzing to identify the root cause.
As of now, we aren't sure about the exact time-frame. However, this particular one should be resolved as soon as possible.
Keep checking your email to know about the status. Your patience is  much appreciated.

Hi

As I've remarked on another similar thread, this may be what you think is correct at AVG, but it certainly isn't working for me.  Emails from addresses in my Blacklist are NOT blocked but appear in my Inbox.  This has occured after the recent 'Update'.  The removal of the icon was NOT an improvement for your customers who use Outlook…Explanation andf advice please.

Regards

Ken
