AntiTrack Windows 7

Hello All,

Sadly this has not resolved the problem.  The owner of the computer (I was trying to fix this for a friend) has uninstalled AntiTrack.  They are unable to use the product as the issue appears to be causing the firewall to block all traffic.

Product removed and problem solved.  Unfortunately I expect they will be seeking a refund for their subscription.

I expect the missing firewall driver file mentioned above is the cause of the bug.

Thanks,
Ryan

Hello Ryan,

Let's work together to fix it. Please reinstall AVG AntiTrack: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Install-AVG-AntiTrack and check with the internet connection.

If it doesn’t work after installing AVG Anti Track, deselect the "Enable tracking detection" in "Settings" and check if you can browse. We are here if you need further help.

Hi, as per this question [ installing avg pro | AVG ] I am looking to install avgfwd6a.sys as I am having similar trouble connecting to the internet as this user [ AVG stops internet connection | AVG ] however, I have AVG AntiTrack (which appears to be the problem, by uninstalling the internet connection returns). Interestingly the connection works for a short while after a restart but then fails after a short time (at most 20 minutes) I suspect this will be when a component checks for updates or starts to run. I am able to ping and tracert but not use a browser. Windows does not detect "no internet access".  Also I have to force shut down as opposed to normally shut down because AVGAntiTrackFilter is still running.

Windows7 Professional
Also installed:
AVG AntiTrack 1.0.0.25832
AVG Internet Security 18.7.3069 (build 18.7.4041.389)
AVG PC TuneUp 16.79.3.36215 ( which is picking up an issue with my 'teredo tunneling pseudo-interface driver' states that Driver Updater should be able to help )
AVG Driver Updater 2.4 ( picks up that I have a problem with my wireless device driver however is unable to update as an error states that the file downloaded contains malware )

Is there a prescribed order in which I can install the programs to avoid this issue?

Thanks

Hi Ranjani,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have re-installed AntiTrack and am testing without the tracking detection. I'll let you know how I get on. So far I have re-enabled AntiTrack at startup, disabled tracking detection and restarted the machine. Web searches are currently returning. I tried this earlier before I had uninstalled AntiTrack and the browser would not display a website hopefully the reinstallation will have fixed the issue.  Oddly I was not asked for my product activation code after reinstallation.

Thanks, I'll get back to you with my results.

Sure, you can update us the status of the AntiTrack with tracking detection disabled.

AVG AntiTrack did not ask for license number because the previous activation file was still present on your computer, which reactivated the program.

Hi Karthikeyan,
I have not had any problems with the tracking detection off. It is a feature of the program that I'd like to use so I am performing the same tests with the tracking detection on. I have not yet been able to recreate my previous issue but will continue to keep you updated.

Should Ineed to fully remove the programs is there an uninstallation program?

Thanks

Thanks

Okay, Ryan.

Please monitor the situation and let us know its status.

There is no specific uninstall tool to remove AVG AntiTrack. We have to follow the basic uninstall method.
