Apache log4j vulnerability

Hello Dan. Thank you for reaching out. My name is Jovana and I'm with AVG senior support.

Please note that AVG has identified and added detections for several strains of malware that are actively exploiting the Log4j vulnerability.

Having an up-to-date security package, such as AVG and not clicking on links in emails or text messages are two important things you can do, and hopefully are already doing, to help protect yourself in instances like this.

You can check out a great article on Avast Blog, and learn everything you need to know about this vulnerability - https://blog.avast.com/log4j-vulnerability-avast-blog

If you need any other help, feel free to reach out to us again.

Enjoy your day! Jovana

I have been reading about the Apache log4j vulnerability. Is this something that potentially affect the end consumer and, if so, is this problem within the set of threats that AVG antivirus or internet security would block?
