It is better to hibernate apps, so they won't use up your memory and improve device performance.
When you open an app, it will automatically comes out of hibernation and to hibernate it, you need to do the same process again.

I'm not sure if i did this on avg cleaner or anti virus but i activated the app hibernation option instead of the force stop. 2 questions really, is it better to keep this setting and secondly how do I reverse it if I wanted to. I am using an android device. Thanks.
