Application speed since update

We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused, we suggest you to repair and update your AVG program and check. Follow the below instructions to repair AVG :
Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Note: Click Settings first if Control Panel is not available in the Start menu.
Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
Select "AVG Protection" in the list of programs.
Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
Select Repair.
Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
Restart your computer.

Hello AVG, I followed the instructions to repair AVG, no change to the situation.  Any other suggestions?  Is weird as I have never had this issue in the number of years I have been using AVG with any of the major updates.

The support article does not match my desktop (it appears I have AVG Internet Security Unlimited 2017), but I found the problem application listed in the Firewall Component/Application Rules.  Still unusable with AVG running and connected to internet.  Application works perfectly either not connected to internet with AVG active, or connected to internet with AVG turned off.  Need another suggestion or assurance that the AVG code will be fixed very shortly to return to the way it used to work…  There has to be a reason it has worked for many years when AVG upgrades applied and now does not work, very frustrating to have to disconnect just to use my database application.

Since yesterday's major update (Internet Security 170525-0 win 7 prof) I have a database application accessing SQL that has become unacceptably slow (previous saves, less than 1 sec now take 42 sec) when AVG enabled and connected to the internet.  If AVG disabled and connected to the internet works as before, if AVG enabled and disconnected from internet works as before.  This is a show stopper.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I have made changes to AVG configuration trying to fix but no luck.  All other AVG major updates have been no problem…  Very frustrated as I need my database application.

In your case, it seems that the issue is completely different and it is recommended to analyze the files inorder to fix it.
We have sent you the email instructions inorder to send us the AVG log files which will help us to escalate the case to senior technical team.
