The changing to private did not fix the Akruto sync problem for me. In fact on restart it returned to public - any other suggestions?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, my problem was fixed by changing the network setting from 'Public' to 'Private (Home)'.
The big question is how this setting was changed, I most certainly didn't.
Anyway, hope this can help other folks
Hello Niels,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused, we suggest you to change the firewall settings and check the applications, Please follow the instructions to change the Firewall settings : Open AVG Zen -> Internet Security -> Click on "Menu" in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> Change the networks from "Public" to "Private" (If it is in "Private", change it to "Public")
Please let us know if the issue still persists. Thank you.
The resent forced unwarned AVG update seems to have removed the possibility to unbloc the firewall on application level !
Currently I have two applications (Sonos and AkrutoSync) that doesn't work, unless I disable AVG protection, that is NOT an acceptable situation.
Question is, will the application unbloc feature return any time very soon, or do I have to trash AVG ?
Fooling around with low level package/IP level configuration to maybe unblock is NOT acceptable !
Niels.
PS. A way out could be to have an option to back date to the previous version of AVG, untill this version is proberly debugged !

Hello Marianne,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Akruto sync. In this case, I request you to disable AVG component one by one (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components) and please let us know which component is blocking your Akruto sync.
Best regards,
Alok.
