That's disappointing. We realize how trying the situation is; let us work together to resolve this…
Lets perform a quick reinstall to fix this.
I request you to click this link
 http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
to download and run the AVG Remover tool.
Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your pc.
After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of Mycomputer.
Now, reinstall your product and you must be fine.

I have the free version of AVG and just did the recent update.  Now I have a pop up window saying PLEASE WAIT WHILE AVG APPLIES YOUR SECURITY SETTINGS. IT IS RECOMMENDED NOT TO OPEN ANY BROWSER UNTIL THE PROCESS IS COMPLETE.  This thing never completes or goes away. How do I get rid of it or get it to complete?  Your help is appreciated!!
