from the AVG Rescue CD - on a USB flash drive -- Midnight Commander lists my AVG version as 13.0.3115, BUT when I selct 'Create bootable USB flash drive' I am told 'arl-version was not found.' So I pushed back to the menu. Anyone know what this means or what I do?
This was a desperation move after AVG Rescue instructions you refer me to failed. I've renamed my avg files per instructions, but that didn't help the reboot effort.
But I see on other forums that this is a common problem for AVG at least since 2011. I see a few highly technical one-person solutions on the other forums, but nothing I can do with just Midnight Commander.
I've been trying to solve this for maybe five hours. Phone calls, online chats, forum searches. No luck.
