Hi Peter,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
I appreicate your efforts on changing your router name and password
I am glad that you hadn't received any warnings after updating password.
It seems that AVG had notified you of spoof attack due to a weak password.
Please check to monitor your network connections.
Run the Network Inspector from AVG and check to monitor your network.
Thank you and keep us updated.
I do not see the conversation so here’s the entire conversation with my reply at top:
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a screenshot of the notification and fortunately I haven’t received any more. I disconnected my modem, changed the router name and PW, changed the network PWs, and have been monitoring network connections. I haven’t found any unknown connections but I don’t know if this would be enough or if there could be malware on one or more network devices that would allow an ARP breach to occur again.
Any advice appreciated.
Peter

Original question:
I got a notification that I might be getting ARP spoofed on my home network. We have several users and devices that use the network. I have a concept about how this works but don’t really understand the
more important details. I’ve shut down the network but don't know what to do to stop it from resuming and preventing further hacks.
Any help appreciated.
