At PC Startup AVG Rescue CD GNU/ Linux Boot Menu rather than going straight to boot from Hard Drive

Hello David,
We apologize for the delay in responding to you. Thank you for your patience.
Could you please let us know which one has been selected as the 1st boot drive? Can this be changed to the HDD?
Thank you.

Balasubramanian or AVG support,   Any update on this issue?

Your patience is much appreciated.

I have just loaded AVG Ultimate on my desktop PC running Window XP.   When I restart the PC instead of going straight to booting from the hard drive I get a blue screen menu: AVG Rescue CD GNU/ Linux Boot Menu.   It asks me what I want to boot from.

I did not try to install the AVG rescue tools.

Not sure why I am getting this.  Do I have a bigger issue/virus/malware it is trying to protect me from?  If yes, what do I do?  If no, how do I get my PC to just boot normally?  It possible the AVG Ultimate did not install correctly?  Or AVG PC tune-Up did not install correctly? Please help

Balasubramanian,

There are no CD/DVD's in the dirve.  The last one in was the AVG Ultimate install DVD.  There are no USB dirves attached.   Not sure what screen shot you need other than the one I have already provided above.  Here it is again:

I have restarted the PC many times.  Each time is brings up the screen for the AVG Rescue CD GNU/ Linux Boot Menu.  I have to select boot from hard drive and then windows will come up.
