Attatchments in my emails NOT opening

This could have happened due to AVG Internet Security.
May I know whether you get any error while opening the email attachments?

Hi,
Two questions please:
1) Is there something in my newly installed AVG software that is PREVENTING me opening the attatchments in my emails?
I have also been prevented from opening attachments in other areas on my computer.
2) could one of the issues be with having two firewalls installed on my PC? (one is with windows and the other with AVG)?
