Attempted cancellation

Hello. With one day still remaining on my Avast free trial period, I called & asked to cancel before charges incur. I gave all details, including order#, twice reciting their email verbatim, & asked for a cancellation-confirmation email. Staffer said she'd hafta 'escalate' my cancellation request, & that the requested email might take about 3 days. I asked if the 'escalation'-recipient would see that I'd called 24 hours BEFORE the deadline. "Probably.' Staffer was very patient & suggested I also cancel subcription from my end, in Google Play Store, but that Avast sub. page's ONLY working 'pressable'  is 'Resubscribe.'!  -Advice, anyone?
