FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD Sujendran… The update issue has NOT been resolved. Again…The update issue has NOT been resolved. AND adjusting the TCP/IP settings as your response suggests WILL NOT WORK.
 
I KNOW this because I have been dealing with this issue for going on ONE SOLID MONTH. AND I just attempted an update…NOPE…Will not happen.
 
Mike…the only remedy at this point is to MANALLY update your AVG, and if you feel so inclined scroll to the very bottom of this thread… https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b00000004uDi
for instructions on manually updating AVG Free.
 
This is the ONLY remedy available until the good folks in AVG’s development dept. figure out a fix for auto – updates that DO NOT WORK…and have NOT BEEN WORKING FOR THREE PLUS WEEKS…
 
Sujendran …how is IT that I KNOW THIS but you DO NOT as an official support person for AVG???
 
Sorry to make this personal, but YOU are a support person for AVG…correct???
 
So…For GOODNESS SAKE ask SOMEONE to bring you up to date on the ACTUAL STATUS of the update FIASCO that AVG is currently mired in.
