Hi,
3 colleagues at the office have turned on their computer (Windows 7 - AVG Business Edition) this morning and got a message saying that audiodg.exe was infected by a trojan "SCGeneric1.XGQ" (see screenshot below).
Is that a false positive?
I am thinking about that because the date of last change of the file is from last year, and most of all, only the TrustedInstaller has rights to modify the file. So would a virus be able to modify such a file without having TrustedInstaller rights?
Thanks in advance for your response,
E.Noyelle
PS: I am not sure the screenshot is visible. If not, I am interested to know how I can paste a screenshot into a message.
Yeah, sorry for the spam.
I thought I had deleted the 2 first answers, but apparently they reappeared…

Hello Eric,
Yes, the file AVG is detecting as threat is Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation of Microsoft. I request you to add the audiodg.exe (c:\windows\system32\audiodg.exe) to AVG exception list (open AVG protection > menu > settings > general > exception). However, this is a known issue and we are working on a fix.
Best regards,
Alok.
Eric,
Thank you for providing screenshots. Please try to add ( c:\windows\system32\audiodg.exe ) to exception list of AVG and get back to us if the issue persists. We will check and assist you further.
Thank you.
