I have received an email that says my subscription for AVG Internet Security will be auto-renewed and billed $139.99 on December 19. When I log in to my AVG account, it says I have no subscriptions (which is correct, because I cancelled it a long time ago and bought a new machine which is protected with another vendor's product). Also, the credit card listed isn't used anymore & has a zero balance, but I do not want to cancel it.
The email gives this info:
Your subscription details
Original order number: 65388874500
Original order date: August 14, 2019
Subscription expires: December 19, 2019
Billing amount: $139.99
Please verify that you will NOT be billing my credit card to renew this cancelled subscription.
Thanks you!
Hi Carol,
We're glad to clarify this for you.
It isn't recommended to share the order details over this post. However, upon checking your account, we see that there is a subscription that awaits renewal.
Reason being, it is enrolled to automatic renewal. It seems that there are few sycnhronization issues with your AVG account. Hence, the subscription isn't listed.
As requested, we've cancelled the subscription (upcoming automatic renewal) of AVG Internet Security & an email confirming the same has been sent to you.
You can be rest assured that you'll not be charged for the renewal. For further queries, feel free to write back to us.
