Is there no option with this company to not have the choice, at time of purchase, to opt for automatic subscription renewal or not? as easy to forget the notice from them nigh on a month before renewal date to accept or cancel subscription… For the layman AVG make things awkward to say the least

The acceptance for auto renewal is included in the license agreement and there is an option in AVG My Account to cancel it later.
You can find CPS ON/OFF in your AVG My Account.
